What is OPERATION 1000?

The OPERATION 1000 concept consists of increasing our readership by 1000 new paid and promotional subscribers.   But increasing readership and our revenue, it will allow us to be more visible within the community.  The more readers we have, the more we

have the opportunity to increase awareness about things we are passionate about.  The more revenue we raise, the more we can produce events and programs that will benefit the youth and adults.  OPERATION 1000 is about the culture of SpokenVizions Magazine.

Programs and concerts

In the past, SpokenVizions Magazine has sponsored discussion groups and forums, along with the Spoken Word Expo, to spark intellectual dialog about topics dear to the community.  In addition, SpokenVizions also sponsored and organization an entertaining show

called Phonetiks, which featured various artists such as Maya Azucena, Amanda Diva, Tasleem Jamila, Tracy Mitchell, Krystal Warren, and many others.   SpokenVizions Magazine also produced as benefit concert called Poets Against Lupus in connections with the Lupus Foundation of America, Missouri Chapter. 

Bring back the hard copies

SpokenVizions Magazine has changed over the years in size and in form.  The production of the hard copies are definitely something that we would love to bring back into focus.  That is another main reason behind OPERATION 1000.

One thing that was truly amazing about the circulation of the hard copy magazine, is that several inmates latched on to the vision of the magazine.  Through many letters that we received, it was often expressed to

us that SpokenVizions Magazine gave them hope and inspired them to right.  SpokenVizions Magazine is a very powerful tool for writing and very pro-expression.
