Well, it's great to report of one of SpokenVizions.com's favorite poets out there and that's my girl La Bruja. For those of you who have been down with us from the get go, La Bruja
use to be a contributing artist to our magazine. She ran a segment called "Auroscopes."
It was rather popular with our readers might I add. She has definitely been doing her thing, but most recently, she made a
cameo appearance in the new Nas video called "Be
A N***** Too. " I'm sure you can catch the video on youtube.com, but just wanted to give my sistah a
shot out.

So, do you think America is ready for an African American President? Well, whatever your thoughts are, he is about
to make history again. First he is the first African American ever to lead a political party, and come November, if
all goes well and there isn't any Bush type of tactics to win, Obama will be that first African American to sit in the
White House as President. Make sure you go out there and vote people. This may be the most important election
in our life time. This is serious. Do we really want third Bush term?
There is a new independent film out called "Second Chance." It is the first feature film produced by filmmaker, actress and poet Iris Huey.
You may remember her from her short film called "Scratches" that came out a couple of years back. The trailer for
this film is totally off the chain and there is major growth from her first project to this project. The film is about man
coming back into the lives of his ex and his son, looking to have a second chance at fatherhood. You can check out the trailer

am definitely feeling the new girl on the block by the name of Emily
King. She is the latest hottest on J Records. She is part Italian and part African American. She also plays the
guitar, so you know that we are partial to artists who are musicians as well. Anyway, there's a joint on her CD called
"Colorblind" that is really awesome. Of course
