Abyss

SV: Since appearing on Def Poetry, Lyric Cafe and 106 & Park, what type of opportunities have opened up for you and your poetic career?

Abyss: I've been on Caribbean Cruises, Hawaii (TV and Radio), jails, schools, churches, etc.  But this only happens because I don't sit and wait for these things. I make sure that I'm networking wherever; whenever. "I can sleep when I'm Dead." That might be the name of the CD. (LOL)

SV: If you could choose three artists today to collab with, who would they be and why?

Abyss:  Dre 3000, because he is a rarity in the game and I believe if you are around these people, you can't help but to shine.  Steel sharpens Steel and he always comes correct.

Leela James.  Her voice has that soul that will bring metaphors to the forefront of my creativity and I really love her music.  It brings something out of me.  Oh Yeah...creativity.

Any of the Marley's, because the vibration I get listening to any of them, transcends the spirit of their father and that would be a win-win and it will bring something out of me that I have not witnessed.

SV: What would be the ultimate accomplishment for Abyss?

Abyss: To be respected artistically and financially, traveling worldwide with dual citizenship, and to show my seeds the world from another vision besides oppression.

SV: Is there anything else that you would like our audience to know about Abyss?

Abyss: I have a new radio show coming soon on www. v108urbanvibe. net called The Acoustic Garden "The Private Stock," because if we are not played on commercial radio, we still need a platform, or we are making CD's for nothing.  Also, I will be playing everything. "The best of the nobodies,”  but we all know we can play the game.  We just know the game is not for us right now, but soon.  For more info college bookings hit me at laymanlyric. com/abyss.  You can also hit me at 678-577-6776 or on the cell at 678-919-1219.
